We run our hugely popular sewing clubs in several local primary schools. Our students benefit from the relaxed and fun atmosphere whilst learning valuable life skills such as problem solving numeracy and literacy, alongside hand and machine sewing skills.
Classes take place either at lunchtime or afterschool. All materials are supplied. Children are encouraged to develop their independent learning skills and we focus on accuracy, finesse and creating products that we are sure you will be impressed by!
Lunchtime classes are 40 minutes.
Afterschool Classes are 1 hour.
All our staff are DBS checked and insured.
Our students at St Dunstan's have entered 3 national and regional competitions, winning 3rd prize and two highly commended awards. Their quilts have been proudly displayed at The Festival of Quilts twice and Kirsty's Homemade Fair. They now hang in the school library.
There are holiday workshops running every school holiday at Stitches for children from age 5+.
Each workshop has an element of hand and machine sewing.
We make a variety of projects from toys, decorations, cushions and bags.
